Godlike Player in a Game-Like World

Chapter 45 Back To Slums

\'\'All right, then, let\'s go. We\'ve already spent too much time. \'\' With a sigh, Belicia said. Raydon spent a long time looking through each item one by one to find the ones he was looking for.

Belicia was even more convinced that Raydon was a natural genius when she observed how he carefully weighed the advantages and disadvantages of each item before deciding which one was best for him.

\'\'By the way, you owe me for the bracelet. 1,000 gold coins will be enough. \'\' She smiled slyly and said, pointing to Raydon\'s bracelet.

"I thought this was a gift," Raydon said. Then, with a look of reluctance on his face, he started to take out the gold coins one by one from his dimensional storage.

As she took Raydon\'s gold coins, Belicia chuckled and said. \'\'I\'d never purchase such a pricey gift, hehe. \'\'

She continued as her expression abruptly changed to one of annoyance. \'\'Hey, you should also use those gold satchels because if you continue trading in this manner, someone may grow impatient and try to fight you.\'\'

Raydon\'s payment of counting the gold coins one by one each time was one of the factors contributing to their extended stay here. Because of this, even Belicia was beginning to grow impatient at this point.

\'\'If you\'re that bothered, you can gift me one,\'\' Raydon said mockingly as he continued to hand over the gold coins.

\'\'It\'s my day off today, so I have plenty of time,\'\' Belicia said quickly, turning her head.

\'Tch, stingy \' Raydon made the decision to purchase one for himself after realizing he wouldn\'t be able to obtain one for free.

Gold satchels were items crafted specifically for carrying gold coins. You could instantly tell how much gold was inside a satchel by holding it in your hand, and you could easily remove or replace any quantity of gold with a single command.

Before leaving the market, Raydon went and spent 100 gold on a white gold satchel after finishing his payment to Belicia. This was more expensive than Belicia\'s and was white rather than her gray colored satchel because it could hold a maximum of 20,000 gold inside.

Raydon started to head back the way they had come after feeling relieved that he had gotten what he wanted and enjoying seeing the new things this new world had to offer him.

They soon returned through the short, dark cavern and arrived at the door leading to the antique shop\'s stairs.

\'\'It\'s been a while; I wonder if they took a different exit as I had assumed... No, no, I have to continue waiting. If he has a grudge against us for what we did, I\'ll die before I even understand how. \'\'

The old man was sitting on the ground, his head between his hands, near the entrance to the underground item market. Due to the length of time and the strain on his mind, he started to feel as though he was going to lose his mind.

He was contemplating when he heard the door creaking open gradually.

\'\'They\'ve returned?\'\'

The man quickly got to his feet, wiped the dust off himself with his hand, ran to the door, and bowed to Raydon and Belicia.

\'\'Sir, welcome back. I hope you found your shopping to be enjoyable. \'\' He said with a genuine smile.

\'\'Indeed, it was good. \'\' Raydon said. His face revealed that he was having a great time.

\'\'Huh? Have you been waiting here the entire time? \'\' Looking at the man\'s exhausted expression, Belicia questioned. Strangely, there was a tinge of pleasure beneath her innocent face.

\'\'Haha, it\'s true, but it\'s irrelevant. There was nothing else I needed to do. Furthermore, how am I supposed to do any other work when such important guests are here? \'\' The man said smugly.

\'\'Anyway, let\'s get out of here because I\'m starting to get hungry.\'\' Raydon said as he walked towards the stairs.

They eventually made their way back to the antique store by ascending the stairs. Although Belicia and Raydon appeared to be in excellent condition as they entered the antique shop through the VIP door, it was obvious from the old man\'s white face and his lack of breath that climbing the stairs quickly had exhausted him.

Belicia and Raydon were on their way out of the shop when they noticed the still-kneeling employee on the floor, but they both ignored her and walked away.

\'\'Huff, huff, I-I believe you were pleased with our service, sir. I h-hope to see you again.\'\' The old man bowed behind them again and said as he gasped for air. When Raydon and Belicia vanished from his sight, he couldn\'t take it any longer and collapsed to the ground.

Raydon looked at Belicia with interest and remarked, "Guess I wasn\'t the main character of this drama huh? \'\'

He initially believed Belicia was making fun of him, but it turns out that the owner and staff member of that shop were her true targets.

\'\'You must have noticed, eh? haha. \'\' Belicia laughed before carrying on.

\'\'Right, they were my true objective. Actually, I wasn\'t aiming at them specifically; I just dislike everyone associated with any organization. \'\' Belicia spoke while wearing a vengeful expression.

Raydon noticed this expression on her face but asked no further questions. She clearly harbored a grudge against the organization for some reason.

The two walked around the antique market, found a place to eat, and then returned to Raydon\'s neighborhood after a few hours.

\'\'Wasn\'t it like a romantic date where the poor maid was dating her wealthy young master? \'\' As they walked down the street to Raydon\'s house, Belicia laughed.

While she was having a great time on the date, Raydon was clearly delighted by the excitement and pleasure of exploring this brand-new world.

In response to Belicia\'s words, Raydon merely chuckled. Most of the time, he was unable to comprehend the thoughts that were running through this maid\'s head.
