Another Stupid Isekai

Chapter 342

Ryuu and Hideaki jogged to the camp, while the others spread a bit, with Martin in the center. Soon after loud shouts reached us, and just a moment later we witnessed two samurais running from an angry horde of orcs.

Martin took his weapon off the shoulder and grabbed it closer to the spiked batt at the end, then started walking towards the runers. His steps quickly accelerated to a jog, which changed to a full run as he was gaining more and more speed. The armor was grinding on itself and squeaking, clearly not made for this.

It didn\'t look impressive at all from my point of view. He wasn\'t that fast, although definitely faster than a regular person would, but then he hit the troops like a speeding train, and the orcs were sent flying.

Both Otis and Miyajima immediately turned around, to attack, and the rest of my friends charged. Nobuo bolted at an incredible speed, with both hands on the blade, still not pulled out. Will was a bit slower, as he spread his hands, and four blades appeared behind him, levitating.

Hailwic let out a battle cry, that shook the entire area. I could feel the tears gathering into my eyes, that proud I was of them and what they achieved.

- Posers - said Nil.

- Yeah - Boris immediately agreed.

Ki\'rai looked at them twisting her head to the side. I only took a quick peek, as I was more interested in the battle.

Martin was the most fun to watch, as he was swinging his weapon, sending whole groups into the air. Hideaki on the side was already tightly surrounded, by a bunch, that couldn\'t do anything to him, as he deflected every attack.

Ryuu on the other hand was swinging his blade widely, cutting a few with every attack. Then Nobuo ran past them, maneuvering elegantly among the enemies, who just turned to smoke, leaving crystals on the ground. Even I couldn\'t see his attacks, and I was already focusing on my sight, to have a better view of what was going on.

On the right side, Hailwic jumped few meters in the air and landed heavily among the orcs, then just started swinging. A moment later she shouted again, and let me tell you, it was loud. So loud that a whole bunch of her enemies was sent flying.

Will joined her, with his swords dancing around him, blocking the attacks, and killing everything around. I noticed that every single of them was emitting a strange light, that seemed to boil on the blades. The attacks couldn\'t be blocked, despite not even being that strong.

It was an incredible show. Eventually, a single orc was left alive. The lucky guy got late to the battle. Ryuu rushed towards him, but then in Will\'s hand appeared a fifth sword. He jammed it into the ground while kneeling, and a thirty meters long, giant claymore, that fell from the sky killing that poor monster.

Ryuu stopped immediately, sliding on the sand.

As I turned off my enhanced sight, the other senses returned to normal, and I could hear clapping and cheering from the crowd of newcomers.

- Wow... That was incredible - said Daniel, who was standing just a few steps from me. - You all can do that?

- We all can do pretty impressive things - replied Sanders.

- What about him? - came from the crowd.

- Yeah, what about Peter? - followed somebody else.

Nil shrugged his shoulders.

- Peter is a monster - he said.

- Wow, are you seriously gonna insult me straight in my face?

He laughed.

- Sorry man, but somebody had to say this to you.

- Come on, people! - Yelled Will. - The crystals are not gonna collect themselves!

With this, the conversation ended, and all newcomers went to gather the score on the carts. I also went to help but was quickly pulled on the side by Hailwic and the rest.

- What\'s going on? - I asked her.

- We need to talk about what\'s next.

- Here it was easy, but in the cave, we can\'t let people watch, it might be too dangerous, especially with the mages - said Martin, who was already waiting there for me, with others.

- We need to make a plan. Somebody has to stay with the newbies, and the rest will have to go ahead and clear the path. Not to mention we should beat up the boss, so somebody of them can finish it off - explained Will. - So far we have only achieved that with few people, so I was thinking about you, Peter.

- But mom, I don\'t like to brag.

- Shut up son! How are you gonna lure the chicks if not by flexing?

Hailwic punched him on the shoulder.

- Au!

- Stop talking nonsense.

- I will stay with people - said Boris, ignoring our little joke. - I\'m good at protecting. Martin also should stay, since he can easily block the path with his size.

- My students and I can easily cut our way past the orcs - said Nobuo. - You all can stay and rest.

- I\'m not letting you steal all the fun! I\'m going too - protested Nil.

- Me too! - said Ki\'rai.

Everybody looked at her. I noticed that few people got concerned expressions.

- She can handle herself - I said to get rid of their doubts. - You already saw her in action with harpies. She might not have classes, but her abilities are very high. She is no different to you when we first came to clear this place. I could even argue she is stronger.

- So the three of you, Nil and Ki\'rai - counted Will.

- Me too. Just to watch her - sadi Hailwic. - I want to make sure nothing bad will happen to her in the chaos of battle.

I nodded to her words.. With that, the quick council came to an end, and after waiting for people to collect the crystals for a moment, we departed, heading towards the cave, to fully clear this place, and also kill the asshole waiting for us at the very end.
