Summoned and Unwanted

Chapter 746 - 746 The Soul Pets fight the invader

[Notice]

[Soul Domain Visit has been activated on the target named Grizzly Bear.]

[5 uses have been consumed. 5 more uses remaining.]

Vincent closed his eyes before he was swallowed by the tendril tunnel. He opened his eyes and found himself sitting on his emerald throne.

A couple of meters in front of Vincent was the huge bear. It was looking around while contorting its face from what appeared to be anger and saliva dripping from its mouth as the bear was possibly hungry.

The bear rose on its hind legs and stood tall. This was the first time Vincent and Kazumi got to see such a huge being in a Soul Domain.

[Why did you bring that thing here?] Questioned Kazumi after considering this was a bad move.

.....

“We have seen Wolfie and Freerie mutate into gigantic beings, right? I am hoping what happened could happen again.” Vincent said with doubt haunting his tone. He hoped this was a gamble he could win.

Kazumi gently shook out of disbelief. The gamble Vincent chose to make was already underway. Since there could not turn back time, they had to hope nothing horrible was going to happen soon.

[Wolfie. Freerie. Do you feel anything different?] Questioned Kazumi, hoping for a positive response.

Wolfie and Freerie glanced at Kazumi. They didn’t show any signs of understanding what Vincent hoped they could become.

“Kazumi, what do you think of this train of thought? Is anyone invited here considered my guest or not? Can their status change like how it changed with Vlad?”

Vincent rubbed his chin while looking at the bear glaring at him. “Does that mean, I, as the owner, can change their status from my guest to an intruder?” He wondered.

Kazumi opened her eyes wide at such a profound inquiry. The more she recalled what had happened previously, the more positive she felt about this sudden plan.

*ROAR!* The bear’s patience was over. It stopped minding what was around it and chose to continue fighting in this unfamiliar place.

“Two can play this game!” Vincent exclaimed while emitting murderous intent.

“That is an intruder.” Vincent said before pointing at the bear and loudly exclaiming, “Sic em!”

As if Vincent’s emotions were being shared with all the five Soul Pets, they started to act hostile and with great courage.

Wolfie became tense and growled back. Even if Wolfie was a little emerald living-statue wolf, its wolf-like courage was not going to lose.

Freerie gathered. The sixteen emerald living-statue butterflies fluttered their wings in an agitated manner. Instead of moving in a pattern to show shapes, they stayed near one another.

Bright descended from the illuminated dark sky. It approached Vincent and stayed behind him.

Helle waved its vines as if it wanted to fight. Watz attached to Helle’s plant snake body displayed ( -_-)

The Soul Domain suddenly shook as if it was experiencing an earthquake.

[What is happening now?] Kazumi became nervous as this occurrence only happens when something bad presents itself.

“...” Vincent remained silent. He hoped if one day he could control a tiny bit of his uncontrollable mutation, he desired it would be right now.

The emerald grass started shining and flickering. After a few seconds, each and every emerald grass crystal dematerialized into glowing particles.

This was the view Vincent hoped he would get to see. A mesmerizing view was in front of him. The particles of green light moved like dandelions in the wind. It was mysterious because they moved as if there was a breeze in a place without wind.

The particles moved and ented inside the bodies of all the Soul Pets. The more particles entered their emerald bodies, the more their bodies shone brightly. the brighter they became, the more their shape started undergoing a size change.

*Roar!* The bear could sense something was not right. It could tell its enemies were growing stronger all of a sudden.

Wolfie grew into a large emerald wolf as before, while Freerie returned into one soul in the form of a large butterfly with a stinger.

Helle grew into a huge emerald snake with a jagged mouth and multiple vines and flowers on its body.

Bright and Watz disappeared, yet not their presence. A halo and six rays of light as if wings appeared on Wolfie, Freerie, and Helle. The halo appeared to be different than before. Its shine varied as if it was sending a signal.

Vincent and Kazumi also had Bright’s blessing. It took a few seconds to determine where Watz was or, more specifically, what Watz had become.

Vincent and Kazumi could feel as if their thoughts were being shared on an instinctive level. It was a strange and unique feeling as no thinking was involved. Only acting based on instinct and hunches from the synchronization was involved.

Vincent and Kazumi concluded Watz had the power to synchronize. Instead of being able to communicate by words or thoughts, they communicate by instinct. It meant they could sense where each other was, where they were going to move, and where they were going to attack.

*ROAR!* The bear loudly roared while its throat inflated. It closed its mouth and shot rapidly at Wolfie, Freerie, and Helle.

The projectiles were earth shards, yet their appearance was different. They looked like a hologram of an earth shard. Instead of mana in and around the body being used, the mana in the soul was being used.

Wolfie dashed toward the projectiles while effortlessly side-stepping to evade any harm. The closer Wolfie approached, the more it became the focus of the target.

However, there were stray projectiles heading toward Vincent and Kazumi. Yet both of them didn’t move. They could instinctively feel there was no need to do so.

Helle split the end of its tail to raise a large emerald cage wall in front of Vincent and Kazumi. Any projectile reaching the cage wall was blocked by the extending vines from each node.

While this was happening, Freerie flew into the sky and pointed its stinger at the bear.

The bear slammed its foot on the dark bottomless ground. It glared at Wolfie as if expecting something to happen.

Even if they were standing on a surface, it wasn’t real ground. It was a resistance texture to let the souls have a surface to stand on. As such, the earth spike spell was not activating.

The bear raised its gaze after feeling its survival instinct telling it was in danger. A moment later, a large stinger shot in the bear’s direction.

The bear swung its paws, but it was futile. The large singer landed and impaled its shin. The leg started catching on fire with green flames.

As the bear was catching on fire, Wolfie arrived at striking distance. It leaped and opened its large jaws with sharp fangs.

Wolfie bit the shoulder of the bear. The bear used earth spikes on its body, but try as it might, no piece of earth could harm Wolfie’s tough body. Not to mention any scratches were being healed by Bright.

Wolfie remained latched on the bear’s shoulder without stopping. Soon, the flames reached Wolfie.

“Wolfie!” [No!]

Vincent and Kazumi became worried after watching Wolfie quickly catch on fire. The large wolf burning in green flames did not show any signs of discomfort, as if it was immune to fire.

Vincent and Kazumi started to wonder if anyone mutated by Vincent’s green mutation had the affinity of fire and fire tolerance.

Freerie shot more stingers while Wolfie dug its claws into the bear’s back to elevate itself. Wolfie swiftly moved its jaws to the neck before taking a large bite.

Helle separated the end of its body from the cage wall. It went over to the bear, opened its serrated mouth, and extended multiple vines. Each lashed at the bear like a whip.

No matter what the bear tried to do to retaliate, it could not do it. Its legs had multiple stingers. Its lower body was on fire. Its shoulder was badly bitten, and from its neck was latched a large wolf.

The bear found it more impossible to act after multiple long vines lashed at its upper body. When its arms moved, they were attacked without mercy.

Vincent and Kazumi watched the show unfold. They saw a large bear being attacked by three large mutated Soul Pets. It was both entertaining and disturbing to see.

“Huh?” Vincent questioned when the Soul Domain was starting to fade. He knew the time was not up, yet Vincent and the bear’s consciousness was returning to the real world.

[Could the bear’s soul be so weak that the guest cannot remain invited anymore?] Wondered the curious Kazumi.

This was a question they could not confirm. Vincent placed his hand on Kazumi and gave her a head pat. “See you later. I have the fight to continue.”

[Good luck. I will keep my eyes on you.]

This was the last chat Vincent had with Kazumi face-to-face before his eyes closed and opened. The first thing Vincent could hear in the dark tendril tunnel was the commentator praising Vincent’s fighting style.

“Ladies and gentlemen. I can not believe what is happening right now. Vincent Lionheart is fighting such a huge familiar without showing any sign of hesitation.”

“Furthermore, I feel embarrassed to say I am wrong about the little plant familiar on the Lionheart’s team. It is small, but its presence is phenomenal. I wonder how much more this new mysterious plant familiar has in store for us.”

The commentator commented while being stoked by Vincent’s guerilla fighting style. The way he attacked while being protected by nature was fascinating.
